1/2 Year Old

Can you belive it? It has been 6 months already. Wow, where has the time gone. Well, what has happened in the last month you ask....Well, we have been to visit with her cousins. She swam in their spa. She loves the water.

She hung out with her Grandpa's too.

She fell asleep while she was sitting in her bouncy.
We have been experimenting with food. She loves Oreo cookies. I know. I know. She should not be eating Oreos. But it can't hurt her to bad. How can she be allergic to Oreos.
She loves her Franky. She has been watching him more and more. She tries to go after him when he comes near her. He tolerates her, but doesn't really like her yet.
She did get her first ear infection this month. She wake up in the middle of the night screaming. We didn't know what to do, so we sent the night at Mercy's emergency room. It is a nice new emergency room and it wasn't busy, but it still took 3 1/2 hours. We didn't get home until 3am. She was constipated from formla that we gave her for the first time that same day. But we also discovered that she had a cold in her eyes and a slight inner ear infection. So she go meds for both. Joe and I spent a few days home with her. Then we found out that she was allergic to amoxicillin (not sure how you spell it). About her third day on her meds, she broke out in a red rash, that itched and hurt her when she got hot. We had to keep her in cool baths to get her fevers to break and the rash from itching and hurting her. We took her to Urgent Care when she got the rash then her pediatrican the following day for a new medication. She is doing well.
She is now teething. So she is fussy these last few days. Daddy has been really sick with some type of food poisioning or "swine" flu. He has lost 10lbs in three days. That is one way to lose weight.
She has discovered her feet too. She loves to put her feet in her mouth. Crawling is going to come any day now.

Kristy,
What a Beautiful Baby!!!

I'm so happy for you, Congratulations. Great to see you starting a family. I wish you and your husband the best experience at being parents, I know for me it has been quite an enjoyable adventure to watch my little one starting out at 5 lbs 5 oz. Now less than a year from being a teenager. I have had him on my own since he was 4 and we have done so much together. You have many many firsts to look forward to, lots of UPS and DOWNS. but even the downs are special as you watch your child grow and learn more and more each day.

Thanks for Sharing, I'll keep checking for new pictures now and then!

And once again, Enjoy your parenthood experience!!
